Operations Branch Manager

As an R2 Logistics Branch Manager, your industry knowledge and leadership abilities directly impact our continued growth and success. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations and is accountable for achieving corporate expectations regarding customer account management, carrier relationship development, and new business development.

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Customer Development
    • Accountable for monitoring incumbent customers’ accounts and ensuring all account managers are driving continual account growth
    • Creating and maintaining lasting relationships to ensure customer loyalty
      • Proven track record of successful RFP pricing and new-customer implementation
      • Travel required for customer meetings 
  • Customer Service
    • Acting as the key point of contact for any escalated customer service related matters 
    • Ensuring that customer service is the #1 branch priority through continually training and developing employees to provide unparalleled service 
  • Personnel
    • Hiring and training best candidates who adhere to the R2 Way at all times
    • Conducting employee performance and accountability reviews 
    • Upholding a DO IT NOW attitude
  • Financials
    • Communicating regularly with the Finance department to ensure that all customers are in good standing  
    • Communicating and coordinating with over-terms accounts
    • Accountable for P+L metrics and branch profitability
 Requirements:
  • 4 years of transportation with a minimum of 2 years in a 3PL setting
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities including effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven sales and client development track record
