As a Procurement Representative with R2 Logistics, your industry knowledge will directly impact the company’s continued growth and success. This position supports R2’s procurement team and reports directly to the Director of Procurement. The Procurement Representative is responsible for helping to achieve corporate expectations by translating data into valuable strategic and tactical insights, developing carrier relationships, and negotiating vendor contracts. Responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with R2’s LTL carrier base to ensure process excellence
Negotiating carrier contracts, addendums, pricing, and rules tariffs
Analyzing pricing schedules and tariffs to facilitate rate maintenance
Collaborating with department leaders to identify, define, and prioritize analytics opportunities.
Creating dashboards, key performance indicators, and other data driven solutions.
Developing business knowledge to effectively anticipate and define opportunities for data analytics.
Identifying trends and patterns, and presenting the findings in an organized manner.
Establishing and monitoring KPI’s for implementing strategic goals and decision making.
Providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
1 – 3 years of transportation experience (3pl preferred)
1 – 2 years in a Data Analytics role
Proficient in Power BI and Tableau
Strong understanding of SMC³ CzarLite pricing
Effective negotiation skills, focused on achieving a mutual benefit for both the customer and R2 Logistics
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
Proactive and detail-oriented approach to project management that focuses around process discipline and measurement
