HR Assistant

The HR Assistant provides confidential administrative and clerical support to the Human Resource Manager. This position is privy to confidential information and requires a high level of professionalism, diplomacy and discretion.  Multi-tasking, problem solving, and working well under pressure are major components of the HR Assistant's position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide general, administrative, and clerical support.
  • Assist with responsibilities involving compensation.
  • Assist HR Manager with various compliance research and special projects.
  • Create and routinely update HR related forms and documents.
  • Coordination of meetings and special company events at the request of the HR Manager.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Supportive Responsibilities:
  • Orientation of new hires and processing terminations.
  • Creation and maintenance of employee records. 
  • New employee enrollment in benefits programs and processing of employee benefit changes.
  • Reconciliation of benefits statements.
  • Arrangement of travel for employees to include booking flights, car rental and hotel accommodations at the request of the HR Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Human Resource management
  • Experience with FMLA, Benefits, ADA policy, and processing payroll, required

  • Systems & Software – above average knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.  Experience with BambooHR helpful but not required.
  • Working knowledge of state/federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Leadership – willing to take initiative.
